Grupeer review

What is Grupeer?

Grupeer is a crowdlending platform which combines high returns on secured loans with an intuitive and easy-to-use interface. It’s based on Latvia, like many of the popular P2P sites and was founded in early 2017. At Grupeer, users can invest in fractions of business loans, but there are also some real estate ones. Most of their loan last around 12 months, but you’ll find some of them up to 36 months of duration.

Their Trustpilot score is 8/10. Throughout this post you’ll find out why the investors are so happy with them.

What return can I expect?

Their average return to investors is 14.36%. At the time of writing, my current interest rate is 14,22%.

At Grupeer there are tons of secured loans up to 15% in the marketplace. Let’s see how a loan details page looks like:

In my opinion, Grupeer is the platform which provides on of the best loan descriptions. You can check all the borrower details if you go manually, or you can just set up an auto-invest strategy (aka hands-off mode).

Use the Portfolio Estimator to see how your portfolio would perform over the years.

Buyback guarantee

This is one of their strengths: every single loan displayed on Grupeer platform includes a buyback guarantee, meaning that if a loan’s payment gets delayed by more than 60 days, the loan originator will automatically repurchase the contract with no required action by the investor’s side.

However, it’s still not completely free of risk (there is no free money, my friend). Grupeer transfers the risk from the borrower to the loan originator. In other words, you will only lose your investment if the loan originator or Grupeer platform defaults (which is an unlikely scenario).

In the near future, I’ll post a rating of Grupeer‘s originators as I did with Mintos Explorer.

Auto-invest

Like Mintos, they have incorporated a reliable auto-invest tool which automatically buys those available loans which meet a predefined criterion. This makes investing almost effortless! There are quite features to configure. Let’s see how one of my strategies looks like:

Grupeer’s auto-invest tool

Secondary market

They are currently working on the Secondary Market section, at the time of writing, it is not published yet. You will be able to sell your loans or to purchase the ones offered by other investors. These are good news for our liquidity.

Fees

There are no fees applied to the investors.

Sign up link

Unfortunately, Grupper does not provide any bonus for new referred users. However, I’d appreciate that you decide to sign up through my affiliate link. At no additional cost to you, I’ll will earn a commission which will allow me to keep posting interesting stuff in this blog. Thanks in advance for your support!

The bottom line

In short, Grupeer is, without any doubt, one of my favourite P2P platforms because of their transparency and the lack of payment delays. Looks like their business model aims towards Mintos’s direction, which is great: secured loans, auto-invest tool, secondary market, etc. Thus, I bet they will consolidate as one of the preferred European platforms throughout the incoming months.

Any question? Already using Grupeer? Do not hesitate in asking your doubts or sharing your personal experience in the comment section below.
